General Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Conditions for participating in courses:

  • Be able to swim at least 50 meters
  • Be comfortable in the water
  • Parental authorization required for minors
  • Accepted the T

2. FFVL or FFVoile License and Insurance

FFVoile Licenses : Recommended for kiters motivated to learn kitesurfing and practice year-round! And for kiters who practice sailing! Our Club Number is 83S06

  • Sailing Passport: €14.50, ideal for courses longer than 2 days, discontinuous lessons, and year-round supervised activity. (Mandatory medical certificate: stating no contraindication to practicing kitesurfing and/or wingfoiling). For better logistics, please fill out the license application form in advance and bring it on the first day of class.
  • Day Pass: day license €5.50
  • Annual RC kite license for independent individuals: €70.00 for adults, €32.00 for youth, which will also cover you for sailing. (Mandatory medical certificate: stating no contraindication to practicing kitesurfing and/or wingfoiling). Get my annual FFV license

FFVL Licenses: Recommended for kiters on occasional courses, for traveling kiters, for kiters with their own equipment, and for kiters who practice paragliding! Our Club Number is 01962.

3. Registration:

  • Booking:

Fill out the registration form and send it back by email to confirm availability. A confirmation email will be sent back to you. Your reservation will be active for eight days. After that, the course dates will be reallocated. You can also book your dates by phone at 06 16 18 49 91 or by email: contact@kitesurf-var.com

  • Deposit:

Send the completed and digitally signed booking form, with the accepted general terms and conditions of sale, and with your deposit of 30% of the course amount, either by credit card: contact@kitesurf-var.com, or by check payable to “Le Spot Kitecenter”, or by holiday vouchers or cash at the counter, or by bank transfer (request IBAN).

For gift vouchers, payment is for the full amount of the gift.

Your registration will become final upon receipt of all these documents; a confirmation email will be sent to you.

Payment of the balance will be made no later than the first day of the course, by check, bank transfer, cash, or holiday vouchers.

4. Course Schedule:

  • The meeting point is set the day before for the next day, depending on weather conditions. For the first day of the course, we send a message the evening before.
  • Each lesson session lasts 3 hours and 30 minutes, except for specific packages (private lessons, raid). When the lesson is not full (only 1 or 2 people), the total session time may be reduced by 1 hour and 30 minutes, as there is less setup.
  • Included in a session: welcome, license acquisition, trainee dressing and undressing, equipment selection, equipment preparation and storage, and travel to the site. A session includes a briefing, a collective and/or individual debriefing, and practice time.

5. Cancellation:

  • If the trainee withdraws more than 15 days before the start of the course, your deposit will be refunded. Less than 15 days prior, it will be retained.
  • If we cancel due to force majeure before the course, a new date will be offered, or your deposit will be refunded.
  • If weather conditions or other phenomena prevent the start of lessons, and no suitable pedagogical sessions for kitesurf progression can be arranged, the instructor reserves the right to postpone the lesson to a later time or date, to be agreed upon with the trainee. If no suitable date can be found, a credit note will be issued.
  • Any lesson that has started for more than 30 minutes of practice will be considered completed, regardless of changes in weather conditions.
  • Once a course has started, the full amount is due.
  • Subscription cards are personal and non-refundable. They are valid for 10 months.
  • Gift vouchers must be paid in full and are valid for 10 months. An annual surcharge of 10% of their value will be requested to extend their validity for an additional year; this extension cannot be renewed.

6. Rental

The renter certifies that they have no contraindications to practicing kitesurfing, certifies that they have the technical skills to use the rented equipment, and assumes the responsibilities inherent in this sport.

The renter releases SAS Le Spot Kitecenter from all liability for material or personal damage caused to themselves or others during the use of the rented equipment.

  • In case of late return of equipment, an additional charge corresponding to the duration of the delay will be invoiced.
  • Renter’s responsibility: during the rental period, the renter is responsible for the rented equipment under their care (articles 1383 and 1384 of the Civil Code) concerning damage/theft of the equipment as well as damage caused to third parties.
  • Consequently, in case of partial or total theft of the equipment, damage, or deterioration, the renter must pay SAS Le Spot Kitecenter the invoice for the equipment if irreparable, or the repair invoice if reparable, according to the expertise of SAS Le Spot Kitecenter.
  • The renter releases Le Spot Kitecenter from all liability during their practice of the activity; in case of personal injury sustained by the renter during their independent practice, Le Spot Kitecenter cannot be held responsible for any liability.
  • In case of personal injury or material damage caused to third parties, the renter must declare this incident to their civil liability insurer.
  • For any dispute, only the court will have jurisdiction.

7. Personal Equipment Used During Le Spot Kitecenter Services

  • The “personal” equipment used by the trainee is their responsibility. In case of loss or breakage, they are solely responsible.
  • For drop-offs, coaching, and raids, the client is solely responsible for the loss or breakage of their equipment. In case of rental of such equipment, and in case of breakage or loss of the rented equipment, paragraph “6. Rental” applies.

8. Right to Image

I authorize Le Spot Kitecenter to film me, photograph me, interview me, and use my image.

The beneficiary of the authorization expressly refrains from exploiting the photographs, films, and/or interviews in a way that could harm my private life or reputation, or from using the photographs, films, and/or interviews subject to this authorization in any pornographic, racist, xenophobic, or otherwise prejudicial material.

9. Data Processing Authorization

I authorize the school to subscribe me to the school’s newsletter and to receive an average of one or two informative emails every month.

  2. The purpose is to inform you about our special offers, our used equipment sales, and information related to our kitesurfing and wingfoiling courses.
  3. You can unsubscribe at any time and request the deletion of your data.
  4. Access to data: S.A.S Le Spot Kitecenter and FFVoile
  5. Your data will be retained based on your preference.
  6. To secure your data, we ensure that it remains confidential.
